“The McIntyre Ranch is a pretty good-sized outfit. I think something that draws each one of us here is that it’s a working cowboy ranch in Alberta. One of the perks we really enjoy here is being able to have our own personal horses and use them day to day. It’s a big company ranch, but it’s a very family-friendly outfit. We do have a lot of availability, which makes it a great place for a young family. What the Thrall family has done as far as sustainability in the grasslands and the work they’ve done with the Nature Conservancy to ensure the ranch will always be native grasslands is awesome, and I’m glad to be a part of that”

“I have a very unique position at the ranch. My position is approximately 75% in the office and 25% out at the ranch. At my previous job, I worked in the office the whole time, and I was with the same company for over 23 years, focusing solely on the bookkeeping aspect of it. So when I came for my interview at McIntyre, and they asked, ‘How do you feel about working out on the ranch?’ I thought, ‘Oh, hey, what a great idea!’ I never thought I’d have the opportunity to try out working on the ranch, and it has just been a very rewarding experience. I get the best of both worlds. McIntyre has been a great company that truly appreciates its employees.”
