Administrative Coordinator

About the McIntyre Ranch:
The McIntyre Ranch is located approximately 50km south of Lethbridge, Alberta. It is one of the most iconic and historic ranches in Southern Alberta, offering sprawling landscapes and a legacy of exceptional ranching practices. We are dedicated to maintaining our traditions while embracing innovative methods to ensure sustainable cattle ranching.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking, dedicated, and skilled Administrative Coordinator to join our team. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the ranch, completing payroll, accounts receivable and record keeping, and other operational duties. This a salary full-time position, averaging 30-35hrs/wk. The Administrative Coordinators are guided by the Co-Managers, working approximately 75% of their time in the Lethbridge office, and 25% at the Ranch.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lethbridge Office
    • Payroll and expenses.
    • Handling accounts payable/receivable.  
    • Inputting/creating reports from various Ranch operations (semen testing, pregnancy testing, calving, etc.).
    • Inventory tracking. 
    • Purebred data entry and registration.
    • Administration regarding, group insurance, company pension, etc. 
    • Coordination on major operations with vets, trucking dispatch and deliveries. 
    • Office support – ensure workplace is organized and supplies are stocked. 

  • Ranch
    • Collecting data from various Ranch operations (semen testing, pregnancy testing, calving, etc.). 
    • Inventory collection for hay, millrun, fencing supplies, cattle, etc. 
    • Operating ATV to help with cattle moves on occasion.
    • Event planning and hosting. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with MS Excel, MS Word, Quick Books Online are all assets.
  • Experience with payroll, accounting and banking knowledge preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment, working with Management and Ranch Hands. 
  • Strong Communication skills for planning key Ranch Operations.
  • Attention to detail for record keeping and documentation.
  • Identifying tasks to be completed for upcoming processing and operations.
  • Punctuality for changing work start times on key Ranch operation days. 
  • Positivity when adapting to changing work environments.
  • Enthusiasm for working with others and cattle.
